Pre-Passover Party on March 22nd

After Purim comes Passover but before Passover comes the Kibbutz Katan Pre-Passover Party on Sunday, March 22nd. We’ll have Crafts, Songs and Story-telling with Rabbi Rudolph and Robin (“Miss Robin”) Frisch, Make-your-own-matzah, Pot-luck (Purge your pantry of non-Kosher-for-Passover- drinks, snacks & desserts!), and Pockets Pizza (Remember – Passover will still be 3 weeks away!). The cost is $5/person up to a maximum $20/family, with each family also asked to bring one item to share (A – K Dessert, L – R Beverage, S – Z Dairy-only Vegetable or Fruit Salad). Please RSVP to kibbutzkatan@napershalom.org for more information (including program times) and to reserve your spot for this wonderful program.

Kibbutz Katan Purim Programs
We're very excited about our schedule of March Kibbutz Katan programs since Purim is a particularly fun time for kids! Email kibbutzkatan@napershalom.org for more information (including times and locations). Kibbutz Katan programs are open to all Young Jewish Kids and their Families in the Western Suburbs of Chicago.
On Saturday, February 28th (rescheduled from last week because of snow), there will be a Purim-themed Tot Shabbat. Aimed primarily at younger kids (7 & under) and their families, this month’s program will include singing, dancing, and other activities designed to get our little ones ready and excited for Purim.
Friday night, March 6th (the 1st Friday of March), there will be a Pre-Purim Family Service at Congregation Beth Shalom from 6:30 – 7, with a Dessert Oneg to follow from 7 – 8. Per usual, children of all ages are encouraged to attend & participate in this service – which is kept short and very young-kid-accessible.

Sunday morning, March 8th, is invited to the Congregation Beth Shalom Purim Carnival. Not your average Purim Carnival, the CBS extravaganza will feature activities for kids of all ages plus a fantastic costume parade (with prizes for everyone under the age of 10 who comes in costume).
Monday night, March 9th, there will be a Purim Service (come hear the Megillah!) with a wonderful hamentaschen-filled oneg to follow. As a new twist this year, in tandem with the more standard service, there will also be Crafts, Activities, and Snacks for little (and not so little) kids who can’t/won’t sit through the hour long service.
Don’t forget that after Purim comes Passover but before Passover comes the Kibbutz Katan Pre-Passover Party on Sunday, March 22nd!
